Free domain = standard .com-equivalent cost; premium TLDs are paid by you. SEO (on-page work, local listings, ongoing optimization) uses studio minutes — it draws from your monthly work credit, not on top of it. Large builds (AI features, overnight jobs, extra tracking, databases beyond a basic store) require consultation. Cancel any time. The domain is yours whenever you leave — we transfer it to your registrar account (you pay the registrar's transfer fee) and send you a full download of the site. After the 12-month minimum, hosting and email simply end at the close of the paid period. If you cancel before 12 months, hosting and email end at the close of the paid month; the domain and site download still transfer to you. Nonprofits and veteran-owned businesses: ask about our discount.

Is the free mockup really free? What's the catch?
Really free — one concept and one revision. Fill out the intake form so we know the page type, the feel you want, and sites you like; that brief is what we design from. No invoice, no obligation. Extra design rounds after that use studio time.
What is studio time?
Studio time is the metered work on your site or app — updates, fixes, build, SEO, and setup beyond what's already included. It's billed at $60/hr by the minute on bill.jbnx.io. That log is private. A public demo is at bill.jbnx.io/public/demo next to jbnx.io/demo. Your year total with us (care + our add-ons, not pass-through fees) becomes included minutes: $1 = 1 minute. Unused minutes roll over. Extra time needs prepaid credits on bill.jbnx.io.
Is SEO included in $49/mo?
Care covers hosting, the certificate, and the domain we manage — and includes $49 of studio-time credit every month. SEO work — on-page changes, local listings, content for search, ongoing optimization — burns studio minutes from that included balance or prepaid credits.
Where does the site go live?
New sites go live on LocalFave.org first — yourname.localfave.org. That is the live site, not a draft. If you want a custom domain later, we attach it. Hosting stays the same either way.
Who owns the domain and the site?
We register and fully manage the domain and hosting while you're a customer — that's how launches and fixes stay fast. Whenever you cancel — early or after the 12-month minimum — a custom domain we registered transfers to you (you pay the registrar's transfer fee) and you get a full download of the website. If you never took a custom domain, you still get the download. Hosting and email end at the close of the paid period. Cancelling before 12 months ends hosting at the close of the paid month; it never means losing your domain or your site.
What's included in $49/mo?
Care for the live site: hosting, the certificate, and the domain we manage — plus $49 of studio-time credit (49 minutes) every month. Email forwarding is included; a real inbox is $5/mo per mailbox ($3/mo each when you have more than five). Studio minutes come from your year total — for example $49/mo care is $588 → 588 minutes in year one.
How do Shopify and Square work?
Shopify: your care plan plus Shopify's Basic rate as a pass-through (typically $29/mo billed yearly or $39/mo monthly — their price). That pass-through does not add studio minutes. Square: $100 setup on your Square seller account, plus studio time for the real work; we'll run a demo so you can see the minute cost before you commit.
What counts as a large / custom build?
Anything beyond a basic store or flat site that needs a consult first — for example AI features, overnight jobs, extra tracking, or databases that aren't a simple launch. We'll scope it before work starts.
